Pickwick Fishing

Caught this smallmouth while fishing with Dad over the past few days. Weather was great with temps 70-80 and water temp 75. Caught mostly largemouth up in grass beds first full day and a few good smallmouth this morning on the ledges. Dad had a 5lb + smallie jump off at the boat this morning. Never will forget fish jumping to give us a good look before coming unbuttoned.

Colorado ducks and trout

Visited Andy and Sarah in Colorado over the past few days and had a great time duck hunting and fishing. We shot three limits of ducks on our first morning out and then went back to the ranch to catch lots of good sized trout. Basically kept up the same pattern of hunting and fishing for 4 days straight. Thanks so much Sarah and Rowe for giving up Andy for a few days and for all the hospitality. Thanks Andy for giving up a few more days after a long guiding season to an out-of-towner wanting to catch slimy, scale-less fish. Can't say how much I appreciate everything you guys did to show me a good time and make me feel at home.

Lake Jordan Fishing

Fished with Dad at Lake Jordan today and caught a few fish on topwaters. He caught about 5 and I only caught 1 despite about 15-20 other missed opportunities. Don't know what my problem was but I hope I got all the misses out for the year. It's cooled off here recently and it's great to have the fish eating again.

Flower child

Couldn't resist posting a picture of Salem with her "new" frisbee. She loves to grab it in the center and run around like an idiot.

New House

Way too much time on my hands

Layed up after having back surgery last Friday and looking for another way to kill some time. I've read and watched as much TV as I can stand so I thought I'd jump on the blog bandwagon and start one up for Jeni and me. Hoping it also will give me an excuse to take some more pics with my new camera. Here's a recent pic of Salem for some fill.
